A complete guide to submitting your coins to IGA for grading and authentication.
Submission Steps
Create an Account
Register for a free IGA account at our website. You will need to provide your name, email address, and shipping information. Your account allows you to manage submissions, track progress, and view certified coins.
Choose Your Service Tier
Select the service tier that fits your needs. We offer Economy, Standard, Express, and Walkthrough tiers with varying turnaround times and pricing. You can mix tiers within a single submission. View our Fees & Pricing page for details.
Package Your Coins
Carefully package each coin in a 2x2 cardboard flip or plastic holder. Place coins in a padded, sturdy box with sufficient packing material to prevent movement. Include your printed submission form inside the package.
Ship to IGA
Ship your package to our facility using a trackable, insured shipping method. We recommend registered mail or a courier service with signature confirmation. Include your submission reference number on the outside of the package.
Track Your Submission
Once we receive your package, you will be notified via email. Track the status of each coin through your IGA dashboard as it moves through authentication, grading, and encapsulation. Certified coins are shipped back to you upon completion.
Packaging Requirements
Proper packaging is essential to protect your coins during transit. Please follow these requirements carefully.
- 1Each coin must be in an individual 2x2 cardboard flip, Mylar flip, or plastic capsule.
- 2Do not use staples to seal flips -- use tape on the outside edges only.
- 3Do not use PVC-containing holders (soft plastic flips). These can damage your coins.
- 4Place individually held coins in a single row inside a sturdy box.
- 5Fill any empty space with bubble wrap or packing peanuts to prevent shifting.
- 6Include a printed copy of your submission form inside the box.
- 7Do not clean, polish, or otherwise alter your coins before submission.

We strongly recommend insuring your shipment for the full declared value of your coins.
Return Shipping
Return shipping fees are included in the service price for domestic shipments. International return shipping is billed at cost.
